Do other bulldogs (IE: French or English bulldogs) have the same reputation as pit bulls?

any dog as the possibility to be aggresive, most if not all of it is how they are raised. Some of it can be breeding as well. a neighbour has pit bulls that seem nice, but I have also known pit bulls that were raised by nice people and they eneded up having to be put down after they tried to attack their kids. A friend has english bull dogs and she once told me that her dogfood bill was higher than her food bill.

No not at all, especially not the little frenchies. While English Bulldogs were once fighting dogs they have not been bred for aggresiveness lately and they have not "picked" here in the US as the fighting breed, if you know what I mean.

For one they are pretty expensive as most if not all english bulldogs need to be birthed by C Section due to their size relative to mom. It is not unusual to see bulldog puppies well over a thousand dollars.

I personally have never met an aggessive french or english bulldog. Most pitbulls I have met have been big sweethearts too.

no. i have a 2 english bulldogs and you cannont get them to fuss, bark . they are a really loving dog. very very very strong. muscular..they can knock you on your *** if they wanted to. you hoping to get one. if so read alot on them as you cannot keep them out in the heat. or you will have to put lemon juice in there nose..stuff like that you should read about before purchasing one..
no

everyone wants to hear babout how the pit bull attacked a little girl toaday but, nobody wants to here and accusation against one of those cute little bulldogs.
No, but all bullys are "confident" and tend to be bossy. The others are easier to handle though.
Both English bulldogs and pit bulls carry the potential to be dog-aggressive. When properly socialized, both are excellent pets but I would definitely prefer a pit bull to a bulldog. French bulldogs are small and stubborn.
Oh god no! French Bulldogs would NEVER be targeted and banned! They are little dogs--almost like a pug (not quite)

English Bulldogs were bred to fight, but that has been almost bred out of them.

In fact, all these bully breeds do not deserve these bad reputations!
No, and pitbulls should not have that rep. because they do not have a natural attitude like that, and it is more of how the owners train them and teach them and treat them.
I have English Bulldogs, currently 5 of them..4 girls, one boy. I couldnt get them to attack a person if they were breaking in my house..lol but they will attack each other.. i have two adult girls that i have to watch very carefully as they will just start fighting like pitbulls..

I did have a boy two yrs ago that had to go to a rescue that worked with aggressive dogs because he would attack EVERYBODY including me. all you would do is look at him and he would start growling. I would have to have him out of the room just to put his food down for him because if he was near he'd run and grab you. Today he is a calm 85 lb lover, he was trained for more than a yr and now lives with a family who has a disabled girl that he sleeps with at night...

I would have never believed that...
No, but any dog can provoke a fight. Just when smaller dogs get into fights, they are easier to break up.
Usually not the French but occasionally you'll meet someone that thinks the same about English Bulldogs. Why I don't know, they're giant babies, (as are most Pits....) but I have had people tell me my English Bulldog is vicious and they can't believe I would own such an animal, or have them purposly walk across the street to avoid him. The worse he'd do is step on their foot begging to be petted........
