"Fictitious" entries on IE History??

Today I had to take away internet priveleges from a youngster living with us. I looked in his history and found several porn related searches and results. He claims that he never did anything wrong and that these entries must have just appeared! So, anyone else falling for this?

Not possible for them to just magically appear on any computer. However is he only one to use it?

We have a computer in the break room at work and some guys were looking for something and some porn spam appeared and we looked and the history saved it .So it is possible. But ''several'' would make me suspicious.
Keep in mind, the youngster you're dealing with might indeed be telling the truth...partially.

It is possible that he has visited a site which, upon entry, launches several additional pages - most of which contain questionable or "adult" content. This is not all that unusual, and could indeed be the case. In your position, I would first question him further regarding what sites he had visited - and to do with the understanding that if an explanation cannot be figured out, then the removal of internet privileges will have to stand.

If he's gone someplace a little bit seedy (but not explicit) and was the unfortunate victim, then I'd recommend treating this as a learning experience and restoring his computer privileges.
