Check File--%26gt;Work Offline..
Remove the check mark from work offline if its there.
Also.. go into Tools--%26gt;Internet Options and go over to the Connections tab. If you use highspeed make sure never dial a connection is checked.
Other than that, I would recommend using firefox... its complies with current browsing universal standards (unlike IE) and doesnt use activex controls or any other junk that makes IE notoriously insecure.
