Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7)?

I've have tried countless times to try and instal internet explorer 7 it goes on and is fine until you try to go onto any website at all why is this? It comes up with there is a problem with connection but if i have it on IE6 it's fine and i can do anything on it. I have Norton AntiVirus and i took that off to see if that was the problem during this process but it isn't - Could there be any other problems that i may have on my computer if so please could you list what i may have to do, Thanks!

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs and no problems.

Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7)?microsoft works internet explorer

I have Norton and IE 7 and it runs without issue. Not sure what your fault could be.
You should put your antivirus software back on. IE tends to have a lot of problems and provides little protection against viruses and spyware. Mozilla Firefox is faster and safer.
I also had trouble when I first installed IE 7. Try rolling-back to IE 6, then upgrade to IE 7, or uninstall IE 7 then re-install it. Norton antivirus is not the issue here.
First of all where did you download ie7 from?have you tried uninstalling it?and reinstalling it from microsoft?norton will not affect it i have both on my computer and have no problems at all,are you running windows xp?Have you defragmented you computer recently ?Isuggest disc cleanup then windows update find ie7 from there and download then restart, hope this helps.
try this mate
Jose is spot on - Norton is a virus in itself.. it controls what it thinks you should be allowed to see ... Avast home edition or AVGfree edition are free to download and will not Control your choices as with Mozilla Firefox ( also Free to download and unlike IE it has a built in Anti virus...it takes no time to install and will free up your system...IE and Norton came with my system and until I dumped them THEY controlled what I could or could not see or do....atleast download firefox mozilla for a search engine and take it from there....x
When you installed IE7 and could not access any websites, did you check "work offline" was not checked? You will find this by selecting "File" from the menu. It can end up checked inadvertantly when being installed as well as other settings that end up changed.

If you wish to have another go at installing it, go to the windows update website and you should be offered it again as an update to your IE 6, then your settings and options should be retained.
first see if it is offline if not then try and re install it.
