I've got IE 7.0 and need to configure the browser to stop warning me about Active X everytime?

I am working with DW on a website for work and this is getting really annoying. I tried to get rid of the security warning and it's just making it worse. I get prompted to 'fix it' grrrr....

You have encountered a reason why I no longer use IE and use Firefox instead. I stopped using IE with v6, and there was no way to disable the warnings, and several other things I did not like, like always having to open a new window when I wanted to view a 2nd page. IE7 may be different. OK, so the problem is one you maybe can't get around as far as I know. Just so you know why... Microsoft is playing big brother here, keeping an eye on potential damaging things. A LOT of adware and spyware use active-x controls to hijack your browser and compromise your machine for targeted ads. So, to be conservative, they err on the side of caution and warn you, each and every time the browser encounters an active-x control. Sorry, that I can not provide a fix or workaround. Blame it all on Bill Gates.

Hi,

Try this:

Open Internet Explorer 7.

Tools%26gt;Internet Options%26gt;Security (Tab), and then change the security level to a lower setting while working.

OR / AND

Tools%26gt;Internet Options%26gt;Security(Tab)%26gt;Trusted Sites(green check mark next to it)%26gt;Sites%26gt;Add. Make sure you have it has "https" and not just "http". So, for example, https://google.com. If you have your Trusted Sites security level on a high setting, turn it down to maybe low while you are working and then back to default when you're finished working.

If this doesn't work, please let me know so I can try to give you a different solution. Good luck! :]
